Daisypath Anniversary tickers

Saturday, March 12

Let us pray.

Guess everyone has heard about what happened to Japan yesterday. I knew it when I logged in Facebook, cheers to Facebookers for such fast and efficient news.

11 March 2011, Japan was hit by 8.9 magnitude earthquake, triggering Tsunami (30 foot walls of water). The quake was located off Miyagi Prefecture, about 230 miles (370 kilometers) northeast of Tokyo. This earthquake is said to be significantly worst than the one that struck Haiti.

Death toll after the quake has said to be more than 900, with about 700 reported missing. The death toll is likely to rise in the worst hits area. Many of the vehicles, buildings are destroyed because of the quake, some are swept away by the strong currents.

The quake appears to have moved the main island of Japan by 8 feet (2.4 meters) and shifted the Earth on its axis, despite of no electricity supply in the area. This had been confirmed by a U.S. Geological Survey geophysicist.

Reactors at two Japanese power plants can no longer cool radioactive substances and a small leak had been detected at one of the facilities. The cooling system of the nuclear had failed at three of the four such units of the Daini plant.

Explosion has been reported near a nuclear plant in northeastern Japan's Fukushima prefecture but they manage to put down the fire.

Just look at the damage caused by the quake to the Japanese:

There are so many disasters lately. Quakes in Christchurch, Yun Nan China and now this? What is the meaning of all these happenings? Scientists says 2012 is confirmed the end of the world. Is it really true?

=(

All I know is, it's still not too late to appreciate your love one. Spend more time with them and show them your love, because you never know when you'll lose them.

The pain they are suffering now is unimaginable.

Please pray for the Japanese who lost their homes, those who are injured during the quake, those who lost their loved ones, and also those who died in the quake. May their souls rest in peace.
